We are a small sportsman's club of around 250 members. We own and
operate 160 acres of land where deer, turkey, and other wild game roam.
Some controlled hunting on the property is allowed. We currently
have 4 active trap fields, a 100-yard rifle/pistol range, a 25-yard
tactical pistol range, and a 30 target action archery course. We also
have sporting clays at various times during the year. There are member
competitions being held all seasons of the year.
The club holds several dinners annually. February starts off with our
game dinner. Served are the traditional venison, pheasant, smoked
fish, squirrel, and wild turkey. We also have had elk, boar, rabbit,
beaver, moose, and bear, depending on the donations we get from the
hunting members. March announces our Irish night with corned beef,
cabbage, potatoes, and more. Polish night, in April, is a favorite
with homemade potato pancakes, stuffed cabbage, and other Polish
dishes. Italian night in May provides some very good Italian dishes
such as lasagna, chicken, sausage and peppers and more. In October we
hold an Oktoberfest. A Turkey-less Thanksgiving dinner concludes our
yearly dinner schedule in November.
NRA-certified classes, open to the public, are held throughout the year
to certify participants as Range Safety Officers, Pistol Permit
Instructors, and to earn certificates to apply for CCW permits.
